Faced with a problem in catching poplar iridescences, I fly to the tops of trees and tease with my appearance, I attached a net to a stick, but it didn't work out, they are very fast and didn't want to get caught(((
Tell us your fishing methods, it will be very interesting)

All my life on dirt roads near puddles catch. Females-yes, they fly in the crowns. Although sometimes they sit on the ground - on a hot day.

Of the methods: put some dead meat on the road or recover... smile.gif They love "bio-muck".

Females - on honey-vinegar bait.

Females - on honey-vinegar bait.

And pee on it! smile.gif And that, in my opinion, it is better to fly...

15.03.2022 12:56, Сергей Касай

I laughed zdatno, thank you very much to everyone, I read that they are fans of feces, but to use them as bait)))

15.03.2022 12:57, Сергей Касай

Don't give a shit

Well, I think it's better to throw cow feces, fresh)

It's a good idea, but honey is expensive...

Honestly, I have never seen them in puddles and as you say on a hot day they sit on the ground, so they sit down, the temperature was under 30, and they are on the tops... Well, that is only on the bait will have...

No, cow's milk won't do. We need a specific smell of a human toilet! Or a sewer burst. By the way, look for more willow perlivnitsa and poplar tapeworm, some of them I once met in the north of Donetsk (although local butterfly farmers flatly refused to believe it, but that's their problem).

Puddles should be on a dry road. And the females sit on the ground in the evening - on the roads, too, to puddles. I write about Primorye. I haven't seen overflowers in our country for 30 years, as I go on expeditions every summer, but I remember that our people behave in much the same way.

Well, I'll take sour milk and peas on a hike, then I think I'll catch them normally)))
I haven't seen willow perlivnitsa and poplar ribbon, well, you can understand that I don't have a forest, there are forests in neighboring cities, but my parents won't let me go(
I have landings, and I have almost one acacia tree growing on Kleban-Bull, oaks and willows grow on the beach, putting heaps there will be a fine for me...

No, this method will not work, only flies fly in our area for fresh food, sometimes, however, quite interesting. The geographical aspect must be taken into account. If in regions with poor soils, even just human sweat can attract a bunch of rare butterflies, then in chernozems everything is much happier for butterflies and sadder for collectors. I don't think that on the Donabass it will be possible to lure the perelivnitsa to something other than the powerful spirit of the long-unknown Zolotarsky toilet hose. An alternative is a sewer water leak, especially if fecal puddles remain after it is removed, and in the sun. Of course, if there are a lot of perilivnits in the biotope, then, probably, it can still lead on ordinary puddles or on the muddy bank of the reservoir. But I've had it exactly once in my life.

There are plenty of forests in the Klepan-Byk area, within walking distance. True, their floral composition is not visible from the satellite.

I get it, thanks.
With the forests and so everything is clear, there are oaks grow only in one place...
So I will be fishing, I will experiment with baits.

Why do you need oaks? You need poplars.

And what kind of poplars? The ones that are tall, white and grow up, or dark and grow in different branches?

19.03.2022 14:35, ИНО

Any of them. Ilia develops on a poplar tree and from that bears the Russian name perelivnitsa poplar.

Fine) So I'll catch it!

In the forests of the Lipetsk region, aspen is bred. Probably on the willows as well.

I catch perelivnits in the daytime near puddles on a dirt road. There are usually about a dozen males of Elijah + iris per day. Females are not every day, but last year, a record of 7 male iris, 5 male ilia, 4 female iris + 1 female Elia in an hour right at lunch .
I was driving home from work for lunch on the dirt road to the puddles, it was a hot, sunny day.
In Bashkiria, on the bank of the Sakmara River, elijah collected 20 pieces from puddles a day, throughout the day.
