Is the dorsal view much more informative? Over there, the antennae are covered with cheek keels on top. A false blackling indeed...

I can't agree with the opinion of the respected RippeR. Photo 43 does not show Anastrangalia dubia (Scopoli, 1763), but a male Anastrangalia reyi (Heyden, 1889) or Anastrangalia sanguinolenta (Linnaeus, 1761). I'd like to see the pronotum in profile...

- Men, - I have a non-holiday question smile.gif- Is this all the same kind of museum kozheed (everything was shot at us on KMV)? "what's his Latin?" confused.gif

31.10.2008 21:35, Fornax13

It's not really a museum (if you mean Anthrenus museorum) of some kind. There are many synanthropes from this genus. You need to look at the sawyere. It reminds me more of A. picturatus or something similar (from the scrophulariae group, in general).

Second Dryocoetes sp. (M. b. - hectographus)
The first one is more likely Ips, but you need to look at the wheelbarrow from the side, otherwise in this angle it is not clear how many "teeth"there are.

It seems that the teeth are better visible.

NakaRB, in your photo # 69, of course, the female Anastrangalia reyi (Heyden, 1889), dubia in central Russia has never been and is not. All references in the literature are incorrect definitions reyi.

Yes, you're right. The second one turned out to be definitely D. hectographus. The first is most likely I. sexdentatus. (according to M. Y. Mandelstam)
