Last week, an insect fair was held in Japan

The organizers of the event kindly asked not to take pictures or publish photos from the exhibition, and we respect the organizers — so, alas, the article will be short :--)
The exhibition was held in a nice area of Tokyo, and you could get to it from the metro without even going outside, and if you came from another city, for example, on the bullet train, then you only need to walk 5 minutes from the railway terminal — and you are there.

The exhibition is located on two floors

Entrance fee is 1000 yen. As a ticket, you are given this cute thing (you can stick it on your clothes for repeated entry)

In its spirit, the event is very similar to the Moscow fair — the same pile of tables, between which a crowd of visitors can hardly fit, the same pleasant communication, meetings with old and new acquaintances. The exhibition area is several times larger than the Moscow one (it occupies 2 floors for a reason:--), between the floors there are elevators and escalators for those who find it difficult to move between floors, on the sides there are lounge areas.

For those tired from impressions, very conveniently located windows will help to rest an eye

Most of the tables — with dry insects, and there is some equipment and accessories too. But literature is often sold here by the authors themselves, which is always nice. Subjectively, there is a smaller percentage of souvenir sellers, as well as live animal traders at the exhibition than in Moscow. But of course, they are still there

And after leaving, it is always useful to walk in the nice urban…

…And not quite urban

...Areas nearby

…And even meet some Lepidoptera species (count the number of butterflies in the photo :--)

Many thanks to Teruo Tadokoro, who told me about the exhibition and kept me kind and helpful company during its visit.
