Dear friends! I'm sorry that I'm not writing in the topic, but I'm sure that each of you is familiar with the problem that I encountered for the first time. The larva in the photo (as I think kozheeda) devoured on rasprovilke fresh Amphipoea oculea. I looked through the remaining 8 rasravilok with the material but finding nothing I am in thought is there a reason for concern? Are these larvae isolated or should there be more? The one in the photo is about 7-8 mm.

There is a topic on larvae.
This is the larva of the leatherworm Dermestes lardarius Linnaeus 1758, I bred it, as a rule, the larva should not be alone. Wait for it to show up somewhere.

Yes. A cool find - it was known in Russia from the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus and Dagestan.

Thank you for your prompt response, dear [b]kotbegemot! Thank you also for confirming the new for the territory of the Stavropol Territory tropical, subtropical species of scoops. Ya honestly, I could not believe my eyes. This is the second such discovery in the last three months. The first one was in early June in the Kursky district of Moscow. The edges are Grammodes bifasciata. In The Future. but before that, it was not registered (see photo). Extracted in Terskiye Peski on a light trap with a 12 vt light bulb from a motorcycle battery on a screen made of a white sheet. (see photo).
Finally, on the topic, I have a question about Dysgonia algira scoops. The species also belongs to tropical, subtropical hemixerophils. Snapshots of some copies. these scoops from your collection are also on the attached files.Unlike the first two types, these scoops are very common in our country. In Budyonnovsk, they regularly fly to svetolovushka from 1 to 3-4shtuk per evening from May to September. But I'm confused about one thing: is it the same species? Or are there similar subspecies of D. torrida? Unfortunately, I don't have any distinctive morphological species tests for these two species. Can you help me with anything? smile.gif

In the torrida, the inner edge of the median sling is quite smooth, and in the algira with a slight kink. In addition, the torrida's median sling itself is slightly thicker and lighter. In my series from one point in Portugal, torrida is on average larger.
You seem to have everything algira, but we'll wait for other scoops.
