Semnocarabus bogdanowi (for example, in Tarpaulin it goes as a separate species, and many interpret it as a subspecies of erosus)
zap. Issyk-Kul, perval Kuvaki, M. L. Danilevsky leg
picture: DSC09379.JPG
Semnocarabus erosus bakanasicus, Obydov, 2003 Paratypes
Kazakhstan, 20 km from d. Bakanas 15-20. 05. 1997, M. L. Danilevsky leg
very interesting shape of the body and pronotum, as well as the sculpture of elytra.. Perhaps you can select a separate view here..

Semnocarabus regulus Dohm, 1882

I'll add a couple more:
Carabus erosus auliensis Lapouce
Kyrgyzstan, Tash-Debe settlement h-1200m, 20.05.93, leg. Pichugin N. Yu.
picture: Carabus_erosus_auliensis.jpg

Carabus carbonicolor Morawitz
Kazakhstan, Temerlik, 25.05.92, leg. Shestopalov M. V.
In the list of Tarpaulins there are several subspecies, which one I don't know. If anyone can tell me, I would be very grateful.

What is interesting about it?

07.02.2009 20:48, RippeR

do you see anything about the shape of the female elytra? Widen towards the middle and sharpen towards the end.. If you compare it with other species, it is slightly similar only to transiliensis, but still very different.. And pronotum with a clear border-indentation, I don't even know how best to describe it (well, I certainly froze about the viewsmile.gif, but it will still look interesting)

Nikolai Pichugin:
Tarpaulin has 3 subspecies: korolkowi, collosus, carbonicolor
carboniferous color-Central Tien Shan: Tengri massif, dolna Sary Dzabaz, Ak-Shivrak Junka
korolkovy - NW, Ts Tien Shan: Kyrgyz mountains, Trans-Ili Alatau and Kiungii Alatuu: eastern part, OKR. Charyn.
Kallosus: North-Central Yatn_Ashn, Central Trans-Ili Alatau

mine are from Ketmeni, which subspecies should I push them to?

it doesn't look like Regulus, even in the sculpture of the elytra.. mine are smooth.
The color is also completely different - mine is black. Maybe there are some subspecies, I don't know..

In my opinion, this is stschurovskii ssp. lineellus Haury, 1886

dissected beetles and blew bags from the same series (same labels)

18.09.2012 1:43, I.solod

theanus Reitter, 1895-he's a little different

18.09.2012 9:57, rpanin

In my opinion, this is stschurovskii ssp. lineellus Haury, 1886

dissected beetles and blew bags from the same series (same labels)

They kind of run around there together. From the same point, I also have stschurovskii ssp. lineellus . Although now it is in synonyms.
The beetle in the photo has a slightly different endophallus.(unfortunately, I accidentally broke it). In addition : the head is narrower, the elytra are wider, without indentation in the center, the posterior corners of the pronotum go back more strongly.

18.09.2012 10:45, rpanin

Somewhere like this was endophallus.
In the photo:
Tadzhikistan, S slope Gissar Mt. Range, left bank of the river Sorbo, Haidar gorge,
A little later I will click on the beetle itself.

I don't think so anyway - it's just that I have half a box of these beetles from all the ridges and I have a good idea of their variability , and they run together in places. I've expressed my opinion and I'm not going to change my mind. I would respond to the publication with a review - and here everyone has the right to sign as they wish.
Yes, and theanus - much smaller than stschurovskii-edeagus would have solved everything - once again I am convinced of the thankless task to judge by the photo of beetles

20.09.2012 18:43, I.solod

Further, I will comment only on the material that I will hold in my hands. in the meantime, I'll just look at the photos and comments to nim

20.09.2012 20:11, rpanin

Well, who is this? His endophallus, pictured above. I have identified it as Carabus (Ulocarabus) theanus Reitter, 1895
Basically the same as with xp. Peter I(and pipiskoy, too), just made the photo a little lighter.

They're all different

It's a pity that the bag caught and broke, now you can't get to the truth without it. Maybe I really didn't look carefully.
In the meantime, I'll just put the first photo under the question mark.
