The ad should be printed out, cut in half, and then cut into strips again.

Below is a lower-quality version of the image (but smaller in size). You can get a high-quality picture here:

Good idea! The only thing that bothers me is whether this will scare off non-professionals (there are many amateurs in entomology, who often do very high-quality work) ...

Good idea! The only thing that bothers me is whether this will scare off non-professionals (there are many amateurs in entomology, who often do very high-quality work)...

Amateurs who perform high-quality work consider themselves professionals, which, in other words, they are professionals in essence, and not by working in a full-time position.

Yes, it's interesting. We probably have at least half the city covered, they won't notice. Or as usual, dar ce aceasta inseamna insecte? (what is translated-and what are insects?) .

Anyone interested will find it.. It's not the same for mad.gif

Excuse me, but can I give you a little advice?
It seems to me that when printing on a conventional laser printer, pictures with a caterpillar and bees simply will not be enough-people will simply not notice them frown.gif
Perhaps it is better to post photos of beautiful, contrasting butterflies and dragonflies - they are more pleasing to the layman's eye and cause a greater desire to get acquainted with the project, visit its page on the Internet.

And you can argue like this. Butterflies are full of everyone who knows them, they are banal. And you can only be interested in things that people don't know or have rarely seen. Those objects that are shown in the photos are classified as such. I like them because they are more interesting than butterflies and dragonflies.

but Sv_Kononova is probably right about contrast... yes, and the spit of someone can just push away and disrupt the ad.... I love them dearly, but a more neutral picture can work better for PR....

10.10.2007 17:40, Sv Kononova

I'm just more interested in them than butterflies and dragonflies.

But after all, we choose those objects that are not interesting to you personally, but can attract and interest new users, new forum visitors?
Or am I wrong? wink.gif

Or maybe just place the Entomology Info logo? Well, the one with the fly...

And I like it, I would pay attention. I can offer my own version:

the Cossus caterpillar is definitely creepy
instead, I would make a collage of 12-16 of the most well-known insects from childhood of different orders
for any bee and ladybug, peacock's eye
, and in the same spirit, and the logo
of the word "amateurs and professionals" should be replaced
and pasted on bulletin boards of biological universities

I printed it out. In the V. N. Karazin KHNU (Kharkiv), they hang on the biofactory and in the library near the Internet hall. confused.gif But not too much yet. I did my best.
