Dear colleagues,
This forum is also remarkable for the geography of all participants - tireless collectors. I suggest that you share information about the collection points and dates of certain groups here.
I would ask you to send us information about the collection of abscesses (Meloidae).
It is time to clarify the ranges of many taxa.
Throw off the required groups - maybe something worthwhile will come out!

They are known for the Yaroslavl region: Meloe violacea, M. proscarabaeus, m. brevicollis, Apalus bimaculatus.

About abscesses of the Kursk region: in the spring, Meloe proscarabaeus is found in the mass, and Meloe violacea is also found. Meloe variegatus is much rarer (I personally only got it once). It is noteworthy that in the Kursk region for all the time collecting its entomofauna, I have never come across the most common shpanka (Lytta vesicatoria), but only 100 km to the south (Belgorod region). it is mostly found at the appropriate time of year.

Question about Pedostrangalia pubescens. Has anyone met this barbel in European
Russia? Especially interesting points in the middle zone: Moscow, Kaluga, Tula, Ryazan regions.

Are you only interested in Russia? Or Russia s. l.? My only copy has the label: "Polotsk. l-vo, 12 06 1912". For the Moscow region, according to Danilevsky's checklist, the animal is known only from lit. data.

I know her distribution. According to Plavilshchikov, it goes east almost to the Urals (at least to the Middle Volga), there are in the Leningrad region and Karelia. I'm more interested in Moscow and its neighboring regions. N. B. Nikitsky's 1996 report on coleoptera-xylobionts for the Moscow region is not given. Maybe somewhere nearby it is still there?

check out Danilevsky - he recently shoveled through the entire Plavilshchikov collection and could draw attention to Moscow beetles (especially since he compiled a list for the region). And the distribution of Plavilshchikov for many types of fish, alas, is very controversial.

Oh, how! Thank you. I would like to take a look at this list. Is he out yet?"

duc I wrote well.. Published in: Danilevsky M. L., 2006.
Checklist of the Longicorn-Beetles (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) of Moscow Region.- Russian Entomol. J., 15, 1: 43-51.
In principle, I can scan it and send it, but not before Monday.

From Pedostrangalia pubescens (now Etorofus) adjacent to the MO is reliably found in the Yaroslavl region. One instance was caught in 2006. Previously, there were only old indications of non-preserved fees. Danilevsky's article was published in 2006 in Russian Ent. Journal

I know, essno, I caught it myself... I don't want to give exact information yet (I haven't published it myself yet), but it's approximate: a swamp in the north of the region (latitude 58.30), on the fly in the heat in the last decade of June.

I've already sent it to my mailbox. smile.gif

I'm a little off topic, but maybe someone has data on the distribution of the species
Bembidion (Peryphus) serorum Netolitzky, Bembidion (Emphanes) ganini Lafer. I can't find it anywhere.

Question about Dorcadion elegans.
[attachmentid()=20549]
The area of distribution of this species is mainly the Lower Volga region and adjacent steppes of Kazakhstan. As far as I know, Plavilshchikov very conditionally drew the western border of its distribution in the east of Ukraine (Luhansk and Donetsk regions), which, I quote: "does not reach far to the Dnieper". The discovery of D. elegans in the Dnipropetrovsk region pushes this border almost to the Dnerp. Is there any other data on the distribution of this species in Ukraine? Would love to see the comments of dear KDG & Cerambyx
