Literature on staphylins

Gentlemen, The" green " determinant is hopelessly outdated for determining staphylins. Is there any more recent literature at least up to the generic definition of Palearctic staphylinae?

Green opreditel (author on staffs-Kirschenblatt) as a qualifier for this group, it was never suitable. The classic for determining European staffs was and will be Loze. By the way, it is no longer available in the publishing house (the only volume among all "Die Kaefer Mitteleuropas" !) and in the foreseeable future a new edition will be published by a group of authors, under the general editorship of Asin and Schulke. Since many staffs have large ranges, this is a relevant determinant for the entire Palearctic as a whole. Need more detailed information-write in PM, I can throw links. However, all this can be found on the Internet. But where to get literature - think for yourself. In addition (just think!), individual entomologists (it happens!) in some cases (hard to believe!) experiencing difficulties (that's bad luck!) with the translation of tables in French, German, and other non-Russian languages.

There is something here (on Gusarov's page), including classic works of the penultimate and last centuries.
stierlyz, and can you throw some" links " on the Internet?(stupid question, of course)
And why one volume, there are also two of them (Bd 4 and 5). In some online stores, you can buy both volumes for 150-200 euros. Only (you won't believe it) for such money (oh, damn, Russian science) I didn't learn to read German (that's not the task), at least I probably would have tried it with pleasure smile.gif

I can throw bibliographic links, the desired question is WHICH literature is suitable, just these links can be found on the Internet. Volume 5 on Aleocharinae, this is a group where you can not twitch. There are also palps, now they are also staffs on the rights of the Pselaphinae subfamily. And volume 4, I repeat, you can't buy it through a publishing house anymore - it's been disassembled. And without German in zhukov-in any way. Although many German-language review authors switch to English, a significant number of fundamental works (primarily Die Kaefer) are in German.

I agree, you can find links, but I would like to find PDFs with revisions and keys for "our" individual genera (for some reason, either the tropics or the New World come across)... (I roll my lip).
If it's not a secret, how much did volume 4 cost in the publishing house?
The publishing house may have run out, but here The entire set of Die Kafer Mitteleuropas, Gesamtwerk (1965-2004) is offered for unfunny money.
Cheaper, just scan it back...
And yet, do not tell me Catopidae, Leiodidae there in what volume?
And yet, and if you define before the genus, "green" can be used

You can, but figs you have what happens. The table is poorly constructed, and the attributes are difficult to understand and inconvenient. Reiter and Yaobson are more or less relevant, since there are pictures there. Request revisions from review authors. Asin, for example, can send you any of its work in PDF format.

I don't remember the exact price for 4,and then they get more expensive all the time. Well, basically like the others... Groups of interest to you in volume 3.
