Yuri Andreevich Pesenko, a leading researcher at the Zoological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, an outstanding Russian scientist, a major specialist in bee taxonomy, theoretical taxonomy and mathematical methods in biology, an interesting interlocutor and a wonderful person, died on September 23 at the age of 63. Everyone who knew Yuri Andreevich will miss him very much.
