A website dedicated to the animals of Mordovia was opened. We tried to create a system that would be convenient for all users. The site is "divided" into several categories. First, these are lists of currently reliably registered (and / or mentioned in the literature) invertebrates and vertebrates. All lists will be updated over time when new data is received. And they are gradually gaining more and more. In the "library" section, you can find literary sources on the main sections of the animal world. This section is under constant revision, as more and more sources are coming in. So far, 85-90% of the literature has been collected, but not all of it is displayed. As you can see, a huge array of printed data must also be converted to electronic format. In the gallery you can see a significant number of photos of various animals, the nature of Mordovia, as well as the chronicle of expeditions. By the way, our expeditions are not limited to the vast Mordovian expanses. We also make trips to other regions, so you can find illustrative material for other republics and regions (see also the corresponding section of the library). Among other things, we have put up lists of specially protected natural areas (SPNAs) and Red Book species on our site. Regarding the latter, we will immediately say that they are quite controversial, but these lists have already been published (in 2005) and we can only receive questions, instructions, and tips from you for improving and eliminating errors in the future.
