Today, the funeral of Vladimir Meshcheryakov (Vladivostok) was held. A butterfly lover probably knows this name. You can find out more about it at this link http://vladnews.ru/2271/Bez_politiki/Effekt_babochki

He had a stroke some time ago. The family turned their backs on him, leaving him to live out his last days in a hospice, and then refused to even bury him. All expenses were covered by Vladimir's friends.

But things could have turned out differently. He was offered to head the insectarium at the new Vladivostok Oceanarium. Huge resources, great potential for creativity and implementation of ideas.

It's all sad...

Meshcheryakov's family is a disgrace. But, alas, we have people without a heart.

And Volodya-eternal memory.

I met Vladimir in Primorye. A very interesting person and enthusiast.
Bright memory...

His enthusiasm and humanity are well shown in Yu's book.Arakcheeva "In the land of Blue Swallowtails", in particular, in the chapter "Volodya-pessimist and Volodya-optimist".
Bright memory...

That's the trouble! It's sad! I still have some of his butterflies!
As for the hospice:(http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%A5%D0%BE%D1%81%D0%BF%D0%B8%D1%81) A person with a severe diagnosis should receive adequate medical care provided by staff with some training. Everyone has the right to die with dignity. Unfortunately, there are practically no hospices in the country, due to the lack of funding.
By the way, does anyone know how Bulavsky died? I'm sorry if it's out of place.

Earth in peace.

Eternal memory! He was a very talented man! Like all geniuses, he was ahead of his time. It was misunderstood by many. I didn't have time to fully realize myself.
I am very grateful to him for introducing me to a part of the world that he lived in.
It's not for us to judge the family. They hadn't lived together lately. Apparently a lot of things have accumulated. Yes, and the 12 squares in which his family lives explain his stay in a hospice.

Eternal memory!
Bulavsky, as far as I know, was shot by a law enforcement officer by mistake.

Very sad news. I learned a lot about seaside butterflies from him. He was always full of ideas. Devoted to entomology. Bright memory to you, Vladimir Romanovich!

Not by mistake, but in a household disassembly. We lived together in a shared apartment. The cop was drinking. Bulavsky quarreled with him constantly...

Eternal memory to Vladimir Meshcheryakov. There are very few people like him. And where does the information about the death of Alexander Bulavsky come from, if it is about him? How reliable is the information about his tragic death? I met Bulavsky about 22 or 23 years ago. Once I went with him to catch butterflies in the village of Tigrovy, once I was at his house, but it was definitely not a communal apartment. And just in the summer of 2011, I am sure that I saw it in the city of Vladivostok.

Eternal memory. It is a pity that he left when such prospects opened up...

I accidentally wandered here. Very sad news. Good memory to Volodya Meshcheryakov. I knew him about 27 years ago, when everything was just beginning! Sasha Bulavsky is also not there, who saw him there, unfortunately, was mistaken. And Vasya S. isn't here either. Bright memory to all!

Very sad. Eternal memory! I didn't know him personally, but I remember him from Arakcheev's book when he was young and energetic. It was as if they knew each other. Yes, time is running out...

Sadly. We are all mortal, but let us remain human while we live.
