Compared to the jokes of physicists, the jokes of biologists are just child's play. Physicists make jokes with a serious face, often in the media (not to mention VAKOV journals), at the level of professors and even academicians. And the biologists didn't come up with anything like that, except that they supported the fairy tale about Nessie. That's when they seriously talk about it - it's bad, quackery at the state level, if they ask for grants for searches - then direct embezzlement of the treasury. And when the SF story is written by a specialist, it turns out to be more plausible, more interesting to read.

I didn't understand anything. Do physicists (academics and professors) talk about extraterrestrials and teleportation? Yes, idiocy is above ranks / privileges... In general, the people persistently live superstition (=holy faith) about the positive correlation of titles and intelligence.
