And according to coleopterologists, will this be the case?

1. What is the font and spacing? Probably, the authors of the directory should have developed some kind of electronic template (and hung it up for download) - which could simply be filled in in a given key and that's it ... otherwise, you'll be tortured in free formats...
2. Item # 13-and how to evaluate which 5-6 titles of works should be indicated, for example, out of 40 publications of the author on this topic? Perhaps you will need some kind of electronic resource for the list of author's literature of lepidopterologists that will be given on the pages of this publication???
3. Item # 15 - other photos (actually what, how much, size and weight? clearly in the framework of 2 sheets of A4 format, there is not much that will fit at all).
4. In paragraph 14, in addition to soap, you should probably specify the contact address, even if it is a business...
5. In point # 11, you should probably indicate other areas of scientific interest if they exist...? And how can I indicate the number of excursions/expeditions in the area of residence, for example, if there are 20-30 of them in a year... ???
6. Then what about the "heroes of bygone times" - people who were engaged in collecting, collecting and not always publishing the results of their activities on lepidoptera?
7. It is necessary to understand those who published the data - these should be mentioned for any reason, even briefly and even without a photo???

In the 90 - ies there was such an electronic directory of specialists and amateurs of the former USSR (somewhere I have preserved) I personally wrote off and fruitfully communicated with many people even before the Internet! A year he wrote 200-300 letters (the benefit was inexpensive).

And finally-what is the amount of the "membership fee" to receive, let's say, an author's copy of the publication? Do you plan to translate part of the print run into English, etc. languages? In general, this TOPIC should be taken out by moderators in a separate branch, the project is clearly worthwhile and necessary for lepidopterology.

There is a fairly well-known resource on this topic: http://jugan.org/
This is so, for the record just wink.gif

Yes, there is such a resource, but it has not been updated for a long time, and it is also very incomplete (approx. 100 personalities). There will be dozens of times more in the book.

This question should be addressed to coleopterists. Some of their biographies are available on ZINA's website.
