Dear friends!

Registration of participants and guests for the 10th International Congress of the Entomological Forum and the 8th International Entomological Fair begins!

The event will be held in Moscow, 8-92016 at the address: 18 Pavlovskaya St. (Children's Center "Ogo-gorod"). You can view the driving directions here: http://www.ogogorod.ru/about/pop.php

Time of the event:

from 10:00 to 17:00, participants who have booked exhibition space are allowed from 9: 00

The cost of the 1st place (1.5 by 0.6 m) of exhibition space at the entomological fair is 2000 rubles.

At your service:

- free Wi-Fi Internet
- secure parking (200 rubles)
- 2 cafes on the territory, and several cafes outside the center

Admission is free.

Applications for participation are accepted at: entoterra@mail.ru, entorus@yahoo.com

In the application, you must specify:

- Your last name, first name and Patronymic (in full)
- your place of residence (country, locality)
- communication method (email address, phone number...)
- number of exhibition space seats (if required)
- special requests (if any)

For your convenience, it is possible to pay for the exhibition space in advance, at any branch of Sberbank of the Russian Federation (for information, please contact the organizers). In case of advance payment, participants are placed in similar places to the previous ones.

I also thank the organizers of the fair! It was very nice to see my friends from Tula, Penza and Moscow!
Let me describe my personal impressions of attending this event a few years later.
At the fair. The general atmosphere has not changed for the better. Perhaps the crisis is to blame. Earlier, I remember, we actively discussed the taxonomy and biology of insects. Now only purchases or sales. At the first fairs, we were able to communicate after its official closure. On this one, apparently, the time for renting the hall was limited and we were quickly asked to leave the hall, threatening to turn out the lights. Then the people dispersed to their small groups or left. The loud-sounding name "International Congress..." can be removed and only "Entomological Fair" can be left.
Selling content. In my opinion, there were very few Palearctic buyers. It is not clear why the time of the Moscow Fair coincided with Prague? Because of this, some of my friends did not come. There were enthusiasts who were interested in yolks and sailboats, but the other groups of Caucasian diaries turned out to be of no interest to anyone.
Overall impression of Moscow. According to our mass propaganda media, they were fucked up by migrants in Europe. What's going on in Moscow? I went to the Bird Market (which still sucks), so there's a clothing market nearby. I went to eat in a cafe and found myself in Central Asia, where almost no Russian is spoken. I was pleased with the Aquarium at VDNKh, but why did it have to be called Moskvarium? Some kind of fancy and ridiculous substitute word for a well-established term for such establishments.
I apologize for the grumbling, but these are my impressions.

The fair absolutely did not coincide with Prague! Prague was on the FIRST weekend of October! A week after the Paris One. Everyone who was and sold in Prague (Gurko, Dementiev, Murzin, etc.) was also on Moskovskaya Street! All European fairs are held a week apart from each other and ours is no exception

-it has NEVER crossed paths with any other. For meetings and discussions, yes, of course, we are limited to the time of renting the hall, please, you can do it longer! Will you be willing to pay for it out of your own pocket? I would like to remind you that the rent of an exhibition venue in Prague is at least twice as high as ours..... Therefore, several times it was announced that after the event (at 18:00) everyone will gather in the Grabli restaurant, which is very democratic, by the way, with the presence of tables and chairs and is not binding to order food. In addition, a couple of minutes from the gym! There were quite a few participants on Saturday night. Everyone continued to communicate, etc. Buyers of the Palearctic.... Maybe. But this is a very different experience. For example, Gurko said that he was extremely satisfied and would take four tables in sl. times., personally, I was looking for Palearctic hawkmoth..... alas. So, in my opinion, the matter is also in the material, maybe I'll

say this: last year I sold two butterflies from a box of whiteflies from the table, and this year about 30, to different people, while the box is the same. Well, how can this be explained? Apparently the stars came together so

well And of course, communication depends on the participants, of course! This year, almost no one left on a Sunday. How much effort it cost me to fight this display of disrespect for visitors who, due to various circumstances, could not come on Saturday! We look forward to seeing you all again in the spring!

Yes, but who prevents you from organizing a separate Congress for communication in the first place? It's better that we meet often!

Yes, as for the word "Congress", it was already removed from the posters that hung at the entrance to the building and to the fair, I did not just change the name of the topic, so as not to confuse the people

Dear colleagues! SPRING Insect Exhibition and Fair will be carried out MARCH 18-19, 2017 years in the same hall, on Tulskaya Street! We continue to book exhibition spaces (and they are already, oddly enough, 80 percent booked based on the results of personal requests!)
By the way, for many people this will be a great opportunity to sort out the expedition material over the winter, present it at the event, and also replenish their budget on the eve of the field season! Many people go to the tropics in winter, which will also definitely benefit our spring event! Come and visit in March! We will be glad to see you all! Soon, we will publish posters of the event and create a topic on the forum!
