Catching in Thailand. What beetles can you find?

Community and ForumTravel and expeditionsCatching in Thailand. What beetles can you find?

We are going to go to Thailand, together, as a family. I would really like to combine recreation and hobbies. What insects in Thailand can be caught for collection easily, within the city limits, without going too far into the wilderness? Are there any local mega-channels that you can find in vacant lots or parks? Does anything fly in on the night lights? I do not collect butterflies, I am primarily interested in beetles, and among beetles, first of all, lamelliferous ones, but I would not refuse from other families, I also really want to find shield insects, both pentatomid and tesseratomid.

At the expense of lighting, I'm afraid that nothing. Two years in a row I go to Northern Thailand, so my DRV insects fly like crazy, 100 meters away there are daylight lamps (hotel lighting) at zeros.

Can you find insects on plants?

On the territory of hotels, plants are usually processed. In Tae, they are very fond of it and insecticides are sold everywhere there and used very willingly.

Yes, insecticides are very popular in Tae. My friends went and told me that every morning gardeners treated the entire territory of the hotel and 100 m around with insecticides. They then went and picked up dead beetles. Even some goldsmiths and barbels were brought, collected in this way.

Can I ask you about the laws? I would not like to sit down for a long time for trying to take out insects, or even something worse. Are there any species that are not allowed to be exported?

In Chiang Mai and Bangkok, security checks are formal, but it is better to carry the fees in your luggage. Prohibited ie cites species in Tae no.

Here, I've collected them. How long will the examination take, and what should I tell them if they get to the bottom of it?

What did you collect? Cites types that are not in Tae?)))) well, if you're lucky and you catch them, it's better to let them go. Joke. If you get to the bottom ( and for this you probably need to carry open boxes with an insect tattoo in your hands), then say in Thai that this is for food. In general, I described everything in my post above, the search is formal, what will happen if they catch me, I don't know, I didn't have any problems from my colleagues, I also never heard about problems with export.
