How to remove red ribbon from eggs.
I read somewhere that it hibernates at the egg stage.

The eggs should overwinter. This is easy to do - take a plastic juice tube, put eggs in it and plug it with cotton wool. Put the tube first in the refrigerator at +4C for a week or two, then until spring in the freezer at -5C. Below-10C temperature should not be given... well, or put a tube outside the window.
In the spring, you take out and feed the hatched caterpillars according to the usual scheme. They hibernate easily.
By the way, I will be glad to buy a culture from you...
Good luck.
