What to do with a ladybug?

Yesterday they brought home a Danish Christmas tree, today a ladybug "slid" off it. What should I do with it? It seems to be cold to let them go outside, how to keep them at home, in what container, and what to feed them? or maybe put it in a dark place to hibernate, and then let it go in the spring? Please tell me what can be done???? confused.gif

It is almost impossible to feed it until warm times!
