A nasty thing started up in the attic of a country house the size of an average bucket, with a hole in the center, and just from there, in the evenings ,a flock of wasps or hornets flies out and begins to terrorize the inhabitants of this house.Tell me how to get rid of this scourge.

Davy what? They don't plow or sow in winter smile.gif
It is necessary to hang a red light bulb instead of the usual one, they do not see the red light and do not react to it. By the way, good defenders against dacha thieves yes.gif

Kentavrus, don't you live in the middle zone? In our (midland) public wasps, the nests are never populated in winter and only exist for one season. Well, if they are bees, but bees are easily distinguished from wasps..

And if there are wasps, and you really need to destroy the nest, you can make an "injection" of gasoline or kerosene there, right in the center of the nest, about 100 grams is probably enough. Just how, come up with the situation wink.gif

Buy an aerosol can of pesticide. Try it on one individual. If it dies quickly, seal the attic and "extinguish everyone when leaving"

A thick plastic bag and some ethyl acetate. do not throw out the material, give it to entomologists

"Gift to the neighbors" - come at night, put a thick bag on the bottom of the weighing nest and cut the nest into a bag. Give it to your neighbors. -)

But seriously, I do not advise poisoning with a balloon. This summer, I've been poisoning myself with something called dichlorvos-neo. Sheshrshnya should have been dipped in this stuff, probably to make him die.

Try putting more paper in a bowl and setting it on fire. I wonder what will happen (just close the door to the apartment) lol.gif

They will quickly put out the paper - it's better to throw oiled rags or some kind of jerseys into the trough, then pour a 20-liter can of gasoline into it and set it on fire. (just run away right away, they don't like it smile.gif

You can throw a grenade at them, but not a shrapnel one. It should be concussing.

After your suggestions, the person will still have a dacha? eek.gif Can you just pour napalm right away to hell? 9 or even a small atomic bomb podolozhit? tongue.gif )
And in general - that hornets can extinguish fire? And distinguish strangers from your own? (thieves were mentioned) wink.gif

Yes, with fire-cruel. Take a club and brew in the hive lol.gif

Another option: put a cup of tea with cookies. While they're making tea, come up behind them and slap them properly with a fly swatter smile.gif

By the way, quite an interesting serious question-do they know how to extinguish a fire? And if so, how does this happen? Perhaps the gentlemen of behavior can open our eyes, which are stuck together from the taxonomy of beetles and butterflies?

About their own from others is also interesting. After all, domestic bees easily distinguish the beekeeper from "strangers". Similarly, bumblebees quickly get used to the presence of identical people. Bumblebees live in my dacha, in a wooden house. The big nest. From time to time, I observe them very closely and for a long time. They used to worry and fly around, but now it's all right, they're used to it. V. Grebennikov wrote about the habituation of bumblebees in the book "My World". I think that hornets in the sense of habituation should have similar properties.

I fought with water! I got under the roof and hit the hose to the fullest!
The wasps then got out, and they tapped me on the hat that the house was flooded (it was small, stupid) smile.gif

Ants can put out a fire. I didn't observe it myself, but I read it from someone who is trustworthy (Marikovsky? The Khalifman? - I don't remember exactly). They spray matches with their acid on the fire. In theory, hornets should also be able to. Bees and wasps can distinguish their own from others by their smells and smooth movements. Forest wasps lived in my kitchen, I photographed them from several cm in daylight, smoothly approaching, while they almost did not bother.

In my opinion, ants spray everything else that comes near them...
Or not?

Ants perceive a burning match (or any foreign object) as an enemy - that's why they spray acid on it, and not at all because they are going to put out the fire smile.gif

I doubt that hornets will treat people as calmly as bumblebees!!!!! they are still much more nervous!!!!
In general, you need to knock down the nest and that's it, then they will move somewhere and will bother someone else!!!:)))))))))

I agree with the Lobster, I bred experimentally wasps, I could sit for hours at the nest, if you do not touch them, if you touch them, then even the good bumblebees will attack

I usually struggle with them like this:
The best poison is a raid, there is no better one!!! Proceed as follows: first spray the nest from the outside so that all the hornets that are outside die, then, when it is clear, spray the hole with thick poison for about 5 seconds, and run away!
If you want the nest to be alive, you never know what, if you are interested in how it works, putting it in a terrarium, or in another dwelling, then you need to:
Beekeeper's suit
Very thick synthetic fabric (suit)
Thick rubber gloves
Boots
Nest box
Poison disposal(only for flying and defending wasps)
Experience in neutralization and destruction of wasps for 10 years!
I already wrote, follow these instructions!

hi. I've got hornets in my car seat. how to get rid of them, preferably to save the chair. and how will they behave when they try to move this chair to another place? I don't want to try it: -)

Try buying a new car. Do not leave it open for a long time in the forest. In the Middle East, there was an execution - the convict was put on a bag with hornets.
