A question from botanists to entomologists.
The other day at work during a lunch chat, we found out one interesting fact. It turned out that everyone noticed the disappearance of the Prussians (sorry, I don't know Latin ). Moreover, we estimated that for about a year and a half we have been observing them once or twice a month. Previously, they used to go in droves (herds, ...), because there is a lot of food: we sit in the herbarium (they were very well bred in the unbroken herbarium), and we eat there. Previously, they were regularly poisoned at our institute, but they were not bred for years, and then they themselves disappeared. Moreover, as it turned out, the same thing has been noticed for two years by friends in Kiev (we ourselves are from the east of Ukraine). By the way, the same is observed in residential buildings.
Is this a trend, however, or just a fluctuating population?
