So, today I went to the lake, caught 2 (seemingly different) weevils in the field, put them in one jar, then I open them, and they....they decided to mate...

apparently, they mated safely...who can help determine the name of weevils and give advice on breeding offspring??))

No, this time they seem to be the same species-Phyllobius pyrion. And so-weevils mate with anything and wherever smile.gifPhyllobius has a soil larva, so it will be problematic. It's easier to type in nature. With weevils in general, everything is not so simple. I know for sure - Larinuses and Lixus from stems are well removed from infected baskets of compound flowers (+crowds of parasites smile.gif)

oh well and okay))))I just didn't want to dry the fertilized female))) and in nature(where I caught them), indeed, the whole field is littered with them))))
