Question: what does the barbel imago eat? I know that the leaves, the sap of trees, but specifically, the leaves of what plants, birch? oak trees? And what are the options for feeding "popular" plants? Maybe lettuce leaves or something else? And more: they seem to feed on flowers (stamens and pistils). Are they any flowers or just specific species?

Yes, this is Lamia textor. But as an insect for home maintenance, this beetle is absolutely not suitable. Beetles spend additional food on willows (in the wood of which their larvae develop), gnawing on the bark of shoots.
