Community and ForumHow to get rid of insectsdestroy the flour mite

osoka30, 29.10.2012 20:15

Dear experts, I ask for your help!
This forum is the best thing I found in 3 days of futile searches.

We found these creatures a couple of days ago, on wooden mats. then it turned out that there are actually a lot of them-all over the walls, in the closet...
Examined under a microscope, identified.
Flour mite.
Most of all, he likes raw wood. (so it is)
But basically omnivorous-eats everything! mad.gif

The walls were cleaned.
Refrigerator, tables. They washed everything. All the food that they could practically and theoretically crawl with was thrown out.
Washed:
With soap.
Vodka, then Alcohol.
Lemon juice.
With acetone.
With vinegar. Then pure essence.
With lye.
And finally, a cleaner for washing heavily soiled tiles (dissolves organic matter). A radical remedy!

They're still CRAWLING! wall.gif
I have the impression that they are cyborgs!
She pulled out the refrigerator. Removed EVERYTHING from it. I wash it ALL DAY today! With boiling water.
They're crawling! wall.gif wall.gif wall.gif

People! What should I really do??? weep.gif weep.gif weep.gif mol.gif mol.gif mol.gif

I remember a poem. True about other "pets", but just as vital.

They were starved, taken out by the cold. frown.gif
Sprinkled with powder, poured boiling water. teapot.gif
Kerosene smeared, and poisoned with gases.
Nothing worked! The whole family survived.

Our case.

----
Hydrogen peroxide, ammonia, "Whiteness" did not give any effect.
The creatures "bathe" and crawl out safely.

But, by trial and error, it seems that a remedy that at least somehow they do not like is found.
IODINE. umnik.gif
Since our kitchen furniture is the color of pine (yellow-orange ottenok), and the most important breeding ground is a built-in refrigerator (previously used for storing flour, bread, breadcrumbs, etc...) - if it is black, then the iodine solution does not cause any aesthetic damage.
Yes, in my opinion, even with white surfaces, it would eventually fade.

So, we wash, intensively wipe with paper napkins with an iodine solution, and flush them down the toilet.
Clear!
However, after what hour - again teeming ... (on the black wall of the refrigerator is clearly visible.)
Where they are crawling out of the refrigerator is still not clear. Every conceivable crevice was combed.
They put a quartz lamp "solnyshko". Ultraviolet light... They don't like it.

..I am reading a novel from 74 Internet pages called " who is it?". don't lose it!
But I'm still going to read it! I'll still find what I need. (if it is there)
In general, the search engine has a lot about flour ticks. But everywhere I come across only about the biography. And really-how to withdraw - there is no information about this.

Dear forumchane!
Will you leave us alone with your grief?

Try out quartz lamps!

don't your pets look like these? http://molbiol.ru/forums/index.php?showtopic=407006

Oh, finally the first reviews!
Having mastered the giant topics of this forum, I constantly meet questions like "small white dots crawling all over the kitchen" ...But I haven't found any reviews on how to destroy it yet.

kalistrat Thank you! How often and for how long?
In the previous message, I wrote that we are putting.
We've already played it 2 times for 20 minutes.
The creatures keep crawling.

AGG I read about bookies. It's not them. This is definitely some kind of flour mite.
The description, appearance, and behavior all fit together.

We put forward everything that is possible, I wash it every 1-4 hours.
Crawl...

Put the bait-soaked bread. I think-maybe some amount will slide on it..

With a tick folk remedies (iodine, soap, vinegar, etc.) can not cope.
I have to fight a little with other mites, not flour, but it doesn't matter, the main thing is that only acaricides can be defeated.
Yes, I know that many people are against the use of otrav, but here we just need to decide whether we want a constant struggle or whether we still want to get rid of the eight-legged ones...

Thanks!
Well, then you need to look somewhere.
I don't know where exactly yet. Oddly enough, the deratization kiosk didn't give us an answer about the flour mite. We must assume that they do not have the appropriate drugs.
And then there's the kitchen... Poison only in crowded areas?
It would be nice to have something like that - to make them eat and die.
Maybe there is such a thing somewhere?

Now I wash with a strong solution of chlorine (horror! I ventilate everything, I sit with the doors closed in another room)
But it doesn't seem to bother them much either...

And here they also advise me to take probiotics. They say-even on ants tested-helps.

I have no idea what probiotics are and how ticks will react to them.
I just want to tell you that ants are insects, and ticks are arachnids, as they say-two big differences. And, what is disastrous for some, may not affect others in any way.
Chemical preparations are also used for them in different ways: insecticides are used for insects, and acaricides are used for arachnids.
The easiest way is to go to the nearest store selling seeds, potted plants, etc., and buy a Phytoverm (In your case, you can't do with one or two ampoules, take a lot at once).
Or buy Vertimek at a large veterinary pharmacy (it is usually sold in large packages).
Breed and spray everything-everything (it is more convenient to take a pump-type sprinkler, rather than a mechanical one), especially carefully handle all hard-to-reach places, crevices, etc.
These two drugs are probably the least harmful to use at home.
But they do not work on the eggs of ticks. I.e. treatments will need to be done several, in 3-4 days.
Handle the ENTIRE kitchen-definitely. And also, I think, it is necessary to treat all the cracks in adjacent rooms (this is at least, and ideally-everything at all). Remove and stretch all blankets, towels, potholders, etc.
Ask your neighbors (especially at the top and bottom) if they have such a problem (maybe they just haven't seen it yet). If they also have ticks, then no matter how you fight with your own, sooner or later they will come crawling back from their neighbors.
There are acaricides that act on tick eggs, but you can't just buy them in the store, if necessary , I'll give you links where you can buy them (in Moscow. I myself live in Siberia and I am discharged from Moscow Time).

= = In the deratization kiosk about flour mites, oddly enough, they did not give us an answer. We must assume that they do not have the appropriate drugs.==

In your case, the keyword is TICK. It doesn't matter that it's flour-based. If they have preparations for ixodic ticks, or for trovivores, or scabies, etc. - they are also suitable.

thank you for your clear and detailed answer!

Now we are deciding what to do.
Because repeated washing - washing with everything-than the result is given. But so... about 5 minutes. for an hour... And then they're swarming again.
Conclusion. They sit in slits invisible to the eye. weep.gif

Still, I'm leaning towards trying probiotics.
Here's what I found about them: http://www.binatec.eu/index.php?page=bac-probiotic-spray

I used the spray in bed. Really-it's easier to breathe.
A dust mite takes 100%. Muravyov took it. In theory, our "guests" should also be overcome.
But this is a long period.
it should be used for a MONTH!!!
2 times a day.
spray and wipe clean after 20 minutes.
Then-as a preventive measure.
it's not poison. a gradual colonization of beneficial bacterial microflora.

Today or tomorrow, we are still waiting - we are cleaning, interviewing neighbors, and making the final decision of the final methods.
Husband - for your proven method.

but, by the way, I wonder-do spiders eat them (ticks)?

judging by the number of views, the topic is relevant.
why are there so few comments?

I have almost completed 75 pages of the topic "WHO IS THIS"
periodically the question pops up. But I did not see that over the years of the forum's existence, at least someone unsubscribed, which solved the situation!

If so, I'll be the first.

And here is one of the visual photos. (from page 72 of the topic "who is this")
http://molbiol.ru/forums/index.php?act=Att...=post&id=151350

This is exactly how it was with us at the time of detection. Now only some individuals are running through.
We dismantled the furniture and washed it, as I've already told everyone. Calculated - from a huge amount of everything (including dichlorvos)
IMMEDIATELY they are taken by iodine. They also don't like geranium essential oil. (go away from where the smell is)
Today I boil dishes, remove what I can from the kitchen, cover the aquarium (it is in the same room, but not in the kitchen itself - we have a studio), take the parrot (no insects were found in the cage)
And! I spray it with Phytoverm (thanks to Tsverg for the hint)

Why all this amateur activity? there are also specially trained people who get s/p for this. wall.gif
Call the disinfection station, sign a contract with them, they will come and process everything. Against ticks, such things as Acaritox and Cyfox are used. Although the basis of cyfox, like cypertrin, is cypermethrin, the former is most effective against ticks. (From my personal experience as a sanitizer wink.gif)
Just want to say that parrots, fish, flowers and people on the day to the neighbors / grandmother / hotel. Before and after processing, vacuum everything thoroughly to mechanically get rid of eggs and part of ticks, it is better to use a disposable paper bag of garbage storage in the vacuum cleaner (sold in a package of 10 pcs, but you can also find it individually in the same place where vacuum cleaners are sold), which after cleaning should be immediately thrown away from the house, don't throw it in the trash can or chute. Vacuum cleaner (it is better to open and disconnect the hose) leave in the room where the treatment will be carried out

Oh, thanks for the review AGG! shuffle.gif

Well, that just sounds nice.
At 3 o'clock I called.
In 2xabout such a problem do not know eek.gifAbout what kind of smoke bombs I was told-that it would be good to have them... But in Europe, they are banned...
In the 3rd said - $ 80, but to remove everything, they will come and disinfect.
"remove everything." One 100-liter aquarium is worth a lot.
It doesn't take much sense to come and pour poison on a bare kitchen.
And then we will live there with this chemistry. We are for the environment.

Special people are available for everything. And for cooking, and for washing, for anything.
If we don't make it, of course, I'll look for more firms. But so far it looks very good compared to what it was.

By the way, the option with probiotics interested them. They asked for information, and they are not against modern nanotechnologies.
I read about fitoverm, it says that this is a new generation drug - also biotechnologies.
Therefore, pests do not die immediately, but after 3-4 days. We'll wait, it's worth it.

Ticks are very difficult to remove by any means, especially if they live in your house. I recommend that you contact this organization for help My Webpage
They have professionals who specialize in the destruction of ticks and have the necessary drugs and special equipment.

why are there so few comments?

My comment: do not poison anything. Cleaning the apartment is cleaner. Vacuum and wash. So that no speck of dust, no "muchinki". So that the objects have nothing to eat. And there will be very few of them. Let some of them remain... But there won't be a problem. At my house over there, what just didn't run around when I didn't "clean up"well... But then I bought a powerful vacuum cleaner, and they all rushed there. Well, a rag, a rag... I started moving more often.

Even if you etch it out, they'll come back later! Powerful vacuum cleaner, duster... That's it.

I heard about a good device that will help get rid of dust mites - HYLA cleaning system.

And I, by the way, napkins helped, and the most common ones. Like these:

Although, perhaps, I just caught myself earlier and took action.

What city are you in?
You have not tried to collect these mites in a test tube with alcohol and take them to some scientific (university, institute) institution, namely to a tick specialist, so that he can identify them - maybe this is not a flour mite (if it is flour-the easiest way, as I see it, would be to get rid of all of them products in which it can be developed). Determine - you will understand the possible ways of its appearance in you, as well as the measures of struggle.

In vain you are so-ticks climb perfectly through the smallest cracks. And the refrigerator smells delicious. What kind of tick, of course, is a question, but for the mass reproduction of most acariformes in a residential area, there is only one reason - excessive humidity. It is this factor that must be eliminated first.

I understand that you imagine yourself as a tick and fantasize, what would you do in its place?
This is not always the case ))) it works - if I were a cow, I definitely wouldn't eat bitter dandelions, but come on...

Just because you don't eat bitter dandelions doesn't mean that no one else does. They even make salads, jams and even wine... wink.gif

excellens, I took from many years of personal experience "communicating" with ticks. I have them, however, did not climb into the refrigerator, but into and out of insectariums, but the important thing is that they seeped in huge quantities through the smallest holes. But where you get the information (often erroneous or incorrectly interpreted by you) that you so violently fantasize about in various forum topics is a mystery. Pedivikuiyu cram? So there and on "five mandibular and three mandibular palps" it is possible to read lol.gif
