Help determine the type of flea

Community and ForumHow to get rid of insectsHelp determine the type of flea

3 weeks ago there was a strong itch on hands. In some places on the body itchy pimples. I thought I was allergic. The dermatologist suggested that I was being bitten by either fleas or bedbugs. But during those weeks, I didn't notice anyone. But 1-2 pimples appeared every day. Treated all baseboards and beds with dichlorvos. The next day, I caught a flea on my husband. My husband builds a house,so he lives on a construction site. There are dogs there. I think either my husband drags these creatures home, or they've taken up residence with me. But it seems to have processed everything, they should die. Help determine the type of flea from the photo through a microscope: dog, bed, cat, rat or whatever else there is... Flea size is 2 mm. And how to etch them if insecticide treatment did not help?

But I've read that maggots live in carpets and upholstered furniture, and we have carpets on the floor and on the wall hanging. The fact that the fleas came recently is understandable, since the bites began to appear 3 weeks ago. But then I didn't even know that it was bites, referring to allergies. So during this time, the female could lay eggs somewhere in the sofa, for example. There have been no new bites for the last 3 days, except for yesterday, although I have read that fleas eat every day if there is something to eat. Yes, and yesterday's flea I caught with ease, although they write that it is unrealistic to catch them. Maybe she was already poisoned and couldn't jump. If the husband brought it on himself, it is also somehow unlikely, because in the morning after the construction site, he did not go home, but went to work and only came home after work. It turns out that this flea rode it all day? Maybe, of course, they jump from the corridor, because our neighbors almost all have cats or dogs at home. But when they asked around yesterday, they said they weren't being bitten. Strange... Damn, after all this, I'm afraid to go to bed to sleep. I'm afraid that everything will happen again soon, when the new fleas hatch.

This is the flea Ctenocephalides felis-the flea of cats. in dog fleas, Ct. canis, the forehead is steeper. Apparently there are cats in your husband's workshop, too. And if you live in an apartment building, it is possible that you may have picked up these fleas in the basement of the house or near it. Such basements often become a refuge for stray cats - the main feeders of Ctenocephalides felis . The mass breeding of adult fleas occurs during the hot summer months, when they reach annual peaks in numbers and actively attack people who find themselves near them.
