Hello, I recently caught some ground beetles and decided to try to keep them.
Can someone tell us how to maintain them, and whether there are any subtleties in this?

I have a container with dirt and driftwood, but I'm more interested in how and what to feed them.
I tried giving them earthworms and a crushed small cockroach, but each time this happened: the ground beetle bit into the victim and chewed for a short time, and then just stopped and did not touch the food again.

The first ground beetle is one of the Pterostichus. The second ground beetle is a Beautiful Bronze Beetle.

I didn't notice the response in time, because of the clouds of spam. Pretties need to be fed exclusively with caterpillars, and a large number of them, and this is not easy. If there are not enough caterpillars, you can also give moths crushed, but this is a temporary measure. No cockroaches or worms! I won't tell you anything about pterostichov - it didn't contain.
