Rostislav, if you shot in your own area, then you can't even have a ground beetle in your dreams :) - its range is the Far East, or rather this species is endemic to the Sakhalin and Moneron Islands.. Here is a picture of a Caucasian ground beetle-Carabus caucasicus Adams, 1817.
