I was in Greenwich today (the area of London where the prime meridian passes).
There are no insects except deer, so there is no post, but the album is here:

Trap news.

Meconema meridionale, a recent European visitor to England, hobbled in. In the garden I see for the first time, although in the nearest forest park I observe somewhere since 2008.
A purely predatory genus, despite its exceptional plumpness. Eats aphids!

In general, the night was overcast, warm (only in the morning it dropped to 18 degrees) and humid. All, as you love (With)=) Poperli Hera, these kicks kicked out immediately, until all the others are not alarmed.

For the first time in the garden I see Acleris variegana:

Hemistola chrysoprasaria. The second time I see it is in the garden. There's a lot of clematis growing in the culture here, but she doesn't really like it here:

I promise.
Boxwood fireflies (Cydalima perspectalis) decided to confirm their reputation and devoured the whole boxwood in my garden. In a week, probably, they managed: I didn't have time to blink, I look-and he's all devoured already! eek.gif

You can't tell by the butterflies: it looks like the rains and cold weather have turned around, but the butterflies are flying. Hemistola chrysoprasaria was here again, and Ligdia adustata flew in for the first time in the garden, I think.

A rider very similar to the one in the photo on the link was recently identified to me as Ichneumon sarcitorius, a male. It seems to be the only one with this color, although I don't know for sure.

Hi everyone,
a couple of photos from my last "expedition" from August 6 to August 16.
5 days France Deportation Drome and 9 days Italy National. Primorsky Alps Park. It wasn't the best time for beetles, but there was at least some hope of catching something and exploring new places. The temperature was very high, everything dried out, but in France we managed to collect a little (even Carabus).
In Italy, I climbed only at an altitude of 2000 to 3000 meters, where only small Carabidae ran and found 1ex. Carabus solieri ssp. ligurabus
Bobochek was a lot of especially all sorts of Satyrs. I saw a lot of big caterpillars I don't know what (1 photo I made ) I took one with me and now there is a pupa in a dense cocoon, let's see what happens.

I'm going from October 23 to November 10 to the South of Italy, where it will be completely winter and without insects?

15.09.2017 17:59, ИНО

There is no winter in the Central Russian sense at all, and some insects should be found even in January without fail, the only question is whether you need them. On November 10, if there is no weather anomaly, there should still be warm weather and a fairly complete complex of summer-main species should be active.

A little added, nothing special, in London the melancholy is mortal now:

Comrades, can someone tell me:
if I created a topic in the forum "life and mores of insects", but its name is not currently relevant , how can I change the name of the topic?
Is it still not possible to create new topics in this forum?
Thank you in advance.
