I got a great car. Five thousand mileage, automatic, plug-in four-wheel drive, cond., etc. the necessary stuffing. I could even sleep in it like I was at home! She really saved me a couple of times, especially at the entrance to the beach. Stuck specifically. I had to let the air out of the wheels. After that, I was able to get out. But I was saving my typewriter, so I didn't risk it again. Roads in Australia for 4WD are quite acceptable.

It's almost unbelievable, but I've seen a fairly large cat the size of a grey kangaroo. In the evening, when I was having dinner at Morton NP, I noticed an animal lying about a hundred meters away (it was watching me as I quickly tap my spoon on my plate at the moment of eating). At first I thought it was a simple kangaroo, but when I focused my attention on the object, the animal got up, rolled in the sand ( I had been in this place before and left) and slowly retreated into the forest as if nothing had happened. The animal was about the size of a German Shepherd, and if it weren't for the long tail curled up at the end like a cheetah's, I wouldn't even have identified the family affiliation of the animal. The animal's color is dark gray or black.
I was very sorry that I didn't have my camera with me at the time of the meal.
I photographed the tracks of the animal, it is good that the soil was wet and left distinct prints.
I observed the same traces in Yengo NP.

Pay attention to the size of fines in Australia. The forbidden place is a dam. In Tasmania, everything is much simpler - I just fished at night on these dams, because there were no such signs and people in general.

Rosella parrot is a real barbarian among birds. He can pluck a flowering vine in half an hour. He picks the flower and bites the base of the flower, where liquid ( possibly sweet) is obviously accumulating. I drove him out of my territory. So as not to spoil such beauty. smile.gif

blue Mountains , NSW. I tried to photograph it in such a way as to show a bluish glow when ultraviolet light passes through the vapors above the forest.
I didn't manage to stop at this place day or night. The tourist density is huge. The forest is not in its best shape. A lot of them were destroyed by drought and fires.

Yengo NP is a great place to explore the NSW fauna. It's even scary to sleep here at night. A lot of sounds and growls can be heard either near or far away. When I first passed through it, I called it the birthplace of the Malachite Elephant (later I found it in a larger number much further north). It is a real pleasure to observe this insect in the wild. In flight, it is not visible, a green camouflage robe hides the insect against the background of juicy foliage. He shows up as a magical dwarf who suddenly took off his invisible hat on the trunk of a tree.

Fire in Australia is a national disaster. If you find yourself in the forest and do not know the road, you can die. Therefore, when entering the forest, there is a device that shows the amount of risk.
In the photo, farmers nullify the remains of the hill.

A one-and-a-half-meter snake in the vicinity of Barrington Tops NP was damaged by a moving car. I stopped and used the handle of my rifle to help the snake move into the bush. Most likely, she won't survive. The spine is damaged. But I gave you a chance.
This time, just like last time ( in Tasmania) I didn't hit a single animal or bird, although there was a chance. Animals jump out on the road suddenly. You need to be careful not to exceed the speed limit.

The Great Dividing Range is fabulously rich! It grows the most delicious potatoes in the world, grazes the most delicious lambs, grows grapes and even olives. Australia is trying to get the most out of its land. Partly it works, partly it doesn't, but you can still give it a solid five.

Entrance to Oxley Wild River NP. Another tens of kilometers through the deep forest. In these places, you are no longer afraid of the rangers, the forest itself inspires fear. Sometimes the roads end at the gate, so the fuel supply should be in full. And there should also be a week's supply of food in case a fallen tree closes the way back. The phone doesn't work in such places. Godforsaken nook. Really
