Why, I like Vlad so much. It's very him who identified 99% of my moths, and I do appreciate that. I supposed to sort them out since this photo illustrates both species.
What objections may rookie have? :-))) Tomorrow, the day after I'll finish uploading moths and then will show up in September-October with a new catch.
I've got 22 shots of Rhyacionia (buoliana and pinicolana all mingled). Don't know, what they differ with (can't see myself), so keep them in one place :-(
I got it labeled as this, can't remember who made the ID. Might be mistake, they're similar. Some real pro's conclusion needed.
Can't make everything right on the first try, neither see always what pics are already added. Some shots I upload when the present ones of small size and can't be zoomed. As for worn-out, not sure such can't be used for ID, can't always have just emerged. As for extras, please remove freely :-)
The original name used on upload should be saved or I get it named and ID'ed wrongly what's bad. Many websites keep all the renames.
Would be really to keep the first name saved so I could later revise the photo in my archive if it was ID'ed wrongly. Otherwise how can I now find it in my archive with thousands of photos?
That is some beetle crawling, some Staphylinidae. They happen to fly to the light as well as mosquitoes, sometimes it's hard to avoid their being shot together with moths. Can they be removed later on in Photoshop, not sure if it should be done?
