Vasily, I checked Irina's links and other websites as well, sundana has the narrowest and straight black band on hind wings right as your specimen has, I'd move it to this species, even uncertain. :)

Moved this to uncertain and it left comments for the photo page: some bug, perhaps.

Irina, thanks. These beasts are "genitalia" ones, should be examined in details which I've never practiced. Moreover, I've got only one specimen, don't want to damage it. Move to uncertain till then :) Meh.......

Nice comparison :) Still check sundana please, I met it somewhere in books. Quite common species in Malaysia, and these species despite variability have clear distinctions, here they're described in the transiens Diagnosis ttp://www.mothsofborneo.com/part-12/agaristinae/agaristinae_7_2.php. .. "a narrower postmedial white bar to the forewing" for transiens and "The hindwing black border is slightly narrower and more regular in sundana" (both species are given there)

Always place for doubts, I put this one to sucessfully identified relying on its huge distribution and plenty of such there accorded to the collector. They are variable as hell...

Vasily, is it sure ID, no doubt? I may be wrong, some details are doubtful, particularly its size and white zone spreading, don't look specific for transiens. Didn't you consider Sarbanissa sundana Holloway? Please have a look at these two Malaysian http://jpmoth.org/~dmoth/Digital_Moths_of_Asia/90_NOCTUOIDEA/05_NOCTUIDAE/08_AGARISTINAE/framepage_agaristinae.htm
