Pieris brassicae

Base gallery. Lateral/Underside. Alive insect.

Photo, and identified by: Vasiliy Feoktistov. Image without retouching at the website

Date and time, location shooting/catching: 2005-07-21 00:00:00, Russia, Moscow reg., Lyuberetsky distr., near Torbeevo village.

Photographer's comment: A snapshot from ten years ago. To be honest, I thought for a long time whether it was worth putting this not quite successful photo or not. I decided to put it all the same because of the species that has already become rare in our country, which is depicted on it. The cabbage patch is no longer there, nor is the clearing itself where it was photographed.... Now there's nothing there at all. In those places, under the pretext of "fighting" the beetle Ips typographus (Linnaeus, 1758) (bark beetle), proponents of the idea of "saving" the forests of the Moscow region subsequently cut down a huge forest area of 13 hectares. and this clearing fell into the clearing zone. I apologize for the lyrics, but this is history.

I do not mind the second gallery. Put-because there is no other picture there. "To the point" so to speak (((
Here to help arhivchik where the wind is blowing: http://rghost.ru/7jvQ89PkS (there are 4 of my photos with a brief explanation).
For a long time I place the monitor and there will not be any cabbage (((

Alexander, I refer to this information helpful. Entomology in addition to photos of butterflies, and the correctness of the classification includes a lot of other things. Surveillance and monitoring for example.
We still have about ecology and conservation of habitats put in a word in the example)))
So Makar will soon have no one to shoot (God forbid) (((.And photos, but unsuccessful, but other from that point there already, alas, is not expected.

Site entomological, not historical. :) Photography is really unfortunate.
