Ostrinia sp. VA Kirpichnikova writes in his monograph that only 4 out of 11 ET-species (peregrinalis, palustralis, quadripunctalis and latipennis) well differ in appearance and genitals. All other nubilalis combined into a group, it describes six new species (Munroe, Mutuura, 1970). But according to VA Kirpichnikova, independence species of this group, except zealis, is questionable and should be considered a single species.divided into geogr. subspecies. The author recognizes two allopatric, morphologically indistinguishable species O.nubilalis (Europe, Zap.Aziya, NW Africa, North America) and O. furnacalis (DDA South, South-East Asia , Japan. China, Korea, Australia). By the way, O. furnacalis not marked in Sinev for 37 of the region, but was collected in 2006 in Bolshekhekhtsirsky Reserve (South Khabar. Edge) http://szmn.eco.nsc.ru/vvdubat/pdf/AWFE_6_80-87.pdf and Pivane (near Amursk) [113].So here. perhaps the group Ostrinia furnacalis can be attributed. Of the 4 above-mentioned outwardly distinguishable types of species only latipennis the description and photo raises some doubts (but again it in Sinev for 37 reg. No), the rest looks the other.
