Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species
- The name of the species is a fantasy based on the wing pattern. The length of the forewing can vary from individual to individual in the range of 1.6-2 cm, color - from gray-brown to purple-brown, as a rule, darker than in a similar species — Macdunnoughia confusa. The transverse stripes are double, with a light pigment inside. A characteristic feature is a drawing that resembles the letter "gamma". [85].
