- At younger ages, buds and buds are gnawed out, and grown-up caterpillars almost always live in cigar-shaped tubes rolled across the leaf veins. [112].

- Apple (Malus), honeysuckle (Lonicera), pear (Pyrus), maple (Acer), hawthorn (Crataegus), birch (Betula), oak (Quercus) [PC93].
- Multi-eater caterpillars in V - VII harm both cultivated and wild rosaceae (Malus mandshurica, Pyrus ussuriensis, Crataegus chlorosarca)..
