Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

Athrophneura nox erebus (Wallace, 1865). Wingspan 85-120mm. Male is much smsller than the female, wingspans between 85 and 95 mm, wings are bluish black, HW (hind - wing) is shorter than the former species. Veins are not margined with white as they are in the distal half of FW (fore - wind) in the female. In both sexes the body is black, but the underside of the head and thorax clothed with red tufts.
