Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species
- Each elytra with a more or less deep apical notch, the suture and outer angles are usually well defined and sometimes sharply drawn; the elytra are black or light brown; the legs are bicolored (which is not the case with the similar Acmaeops septentrionis), the lower legs are reddish even in black forms; the length of males is: 7.0-10.2 mm; females: 9.0-11.5 mm.
