Outside Rossii.-Japan, Korea Peninsula, China (including the island of Taiwan). [114].

Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

The front wings are dark brown on top, in the outer part of a broad, arcuate orange sash, the inner edge of which forms a sharp wedge-shaped protrusion in the middle; motley bottom wings, yellowish-brown. [114].

Imago lifespan

End of April to the end of September (two generations). [114].

Larva food plants / other food objects

Caterpillars on ferns, strausopёre and Osmund. [114].
