Внешне напоминает среднеазиатских Laothoe populetorum (Stgr, 1887), однако от всех родственных таксонов отделяется также высоким уровнем генетических отличий, более 4% по COI. [393].

Горы Северной Африки. Единственный вид рода, известный с Африканского материка. [393].
