Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

  • The color varies from pale yellow to dark brown. III-V segments are bicolored, VIII segment is 1.5 times longer than VII. Post-ocular setae S4 - 43-49 µm, the same thickness as the interocellar setae. Interocellar setae are located on the border of the ocular triangle. There are 4 microchetes (rarely 3 or 5) on the prothorax between the anterolateral macrochetes. The length of the anterolateral setae is equal to the length of the anterolateral ones. Bell-shaped sensillae on the posterior thorax are present. The setae S1 on IX tergite are clearly shorter than S2. [274].
  • The crest on tergite VIII is developed with microtrichia emerging from triangular bases. [271].
  • ♂ 1020-1250 µm ♀ 1440-1820 µm [274].
