Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species
- The wings are developed. The color is mostly brown, the lower legs are light. The third and fourth segments of the antennae are lighter. The length of the seventh segment of the antennae is approximately equal to the length of the eighth segment. The bases of the third pair of ocular setae are located at the edge of the ocular triangle. The posterior setae are short. The height of the eye is greater than or equal to the height of the cheek. The length of the anterolateral setae is equal to the length of the anterolateral setae, 2 microchetes between the anterolateral macrochetes, bell-shaped sensillae on the posterior thorax are absent, the crest is developed, with short thin microtrichia emerging from the triangular bases. ♂ : no comb [271].
- Morphologically similar species are: @ @ Frankliniella tenuicornis, which differs: the head is extended beyond the tops of the eyes, the bases of the interocellar setae are located on the edge of the ocular triangle, sometimes outside the ocular triangle, and all the post-ocular setae are short, the crest on the VIII tergite is poorly developed, sometimes represented only by the base without microtrichia; @ @ Frankliniella schultzei, which differs: the bases of the interocellar setae are located between the anterior edges of the posterior ocelli, the crest is poorly developed or absent [273].
