Dear friends, since now the Saturday and Sunday musical stories will be combined in one post tagged “music” as usual. It should be interesting to see how they're matched together and as well more handy to make your own themed playlists like “Weekends with Lepidoptera”, or “Beer time”, or whatever else.
So today we've got these two to share, the “Ren” song by Filipino American California-based rock band Moonpools & Caterpillars and the “Caterpillar Playground” by American indie rock trio Nurses from Portland.
Moonpools & Caterpillars' “Ren” feels exactly like those very 90's when on Christmas grandmas were not performing in Skype, but bustled around the kitchen cooking pies, whilst their grandkids drove home fast sipping hot coffee and listening loud to the “Ren” or sort of, leaving Santa and his eager reindeers far behind.
Nurses' “Caterpillar Playground” is as likely to be from those days as well, when tambourine dance meant merely tambourine dance and nothing more, and unreasonable joy wasn't deemed as a protest action, mental disorder symptom, civil disobedience or another anti-glamourous and inappropriate activity.
