We found here on our site in the complete absence of a Colorado potato beetle, which was, a little, but there were fire beetles. Were you puzzled by the fact that these two events are connected? Firefighters (sem. Cantharidae are carnivores that feed on small insects.

I don't know what color the egg laying is in softlings, but the larva lives in the litter, so the egg laying should be there smile.gif
And the Colorado potato beetle has orange-colored eggs on the underside of potato leaves.
