A workmate approached me (as an entomologist) with questions, but I could not answer anything.
So, he was going to build a house using fashionable technology from environmentally friendly material. The principle is quite simple - an ordinary frame house, as a thermal insulation - straw (winter rye). Next, a special mesh is fixed on both sides and plastered. The wall thickness is 40-50 cm. In theory-cheap, environmentally friendly, good performance in terms of heat/sound insulation and vapor permeability.
And his questions are:
Since straw is used directly from the field, what types of insects will continue to live and reproduce there?
Is straw so environmentally friendly, is there any standard repeated treatment of crops with pesticides and other pesticides?
