During the flight, bees often move to the right and left, moving up and down, memorizing the entrance to the hive. Sometimes they make such movements near the side wall of the hive. After a while, they increase the flyby radius and remember the location of the hive on the ground from a greater distance.
Scout bees also fly around, memorizing the right place.
Even if we interpret these movements as an attempt to measure the volume of the hive, there is no way to transmit this information to the swarm yet.
They convey the direction and distance with their dances (the angle to the vertical and the frequency of vibrations of the abdomen), but the transmission of some additional information, something I did not hear..

I don't really believe in such "measurements". It's really more like making a cognitive map. And this is not teaching at all.

It seems to me that bees have no identification of friend or foe.
There are no prerequisites for this, millions of years of evolution lived without beekeepers, and then suddenly a new reflex appeared...
They react to certain smells and sudden movements and behave more aggressively towards such people. It's just that beekeepers have already developed automatic skills of behavior and handling bees, often even unconscious (the driver does not think about which pedal or handle to press while driving), which provide him with a minimum of aggressiveness on the part of bees.
Often there are very simple things - do not stand in front of the tap, do not get in the way of the bees ' summer, and so on.
