From last Friday to yesterday there was b. m. sunny weather with daytime temperatures up to +16. Probably with a strong stretch it is fashionable to call it "Indian summer" (usually it is much warmer, quieter, and, moreover, repeated). There are a lot fewer insects than there were at this time last year. There are almost no oss, except for vespula, and, to a lesser extent, polistov. There aren't enough bees, either. On the flowers - mainly flies and various parasitic hymenoptera. Lots of dragonflies. There are few locusts. Yesterday, after a long break, I listened to one trumpeter and one cone-head. The tettigonias are no longer audible. There are no edible mushrooms. The entire blackthorn shriveled and crumbled prematurely. The plums were gone, too. Only walnuts remained.

And today the weather is already quite November: +5 and drizzling rain.

And this week there were light rains, in the afternoon +7+8. Perfect for this time of year.
But all the beautiful things don't stay long with us. They promise snow today and snowfall tomorrow, then a couple of days of warmth and everything is winter.
You've got rocks lying around, I see. It's free and no one takes it. We don't have that. I saw my grandfather and grandson on a cart carrying stones from under the bridge. There is a large cobblestone filling. Natural stone is for the rich.
Aster is the simplest, but HOW gorgeous it blooms!!
In our gardens, many of them have not even bloomed at all this year, and those who have bloomed have only a few flowers.

Today, although it was cold, but b. m. sunny and quiet. However, the entomofauna is already clearly pre-winter: skates, simpetrums, flies, winter mosquitoes. So far, only a winter moth is missing. No wasps, almost no bees. At night, there was clearly a frost, and not only on the soil-the jerusalem artichokes withered at the entire height (and for some it is under 4 m this year!).

Insectivorous birds are no longer seen or heard. The mass migration of grain-eaters has not yet begun, or has somehow passed by. I only saw a couple of buntings. On the pond Kirsch flew divers. And there aren't any swans this year. On the nearby Donetsk Sea, a pair of swans have bred only one chick, and that one has not yet taken to the wing-there is only one left when they fly away. Most likely, the masonry was flooded by the June flood and this is the second abnormally late flood.

To my great surprise, on the road I came across a baby swamp turtle the size of a walnut, I have never seen such small ones before! The place is dead: I constantly find crushed hedgehogs, then someone else (this summer I already found a whole dying dressing), and today I find a flattened toad. So I took the baby turtle to the nearest pond. That pond was once full of rudd and tench, and there were also large pikes. I didn't see a single fry in the water today. It looks like the "electricians" drained it out, too.

Finally found one blackthorn bush with fruit!
