But if the snow is not all gone, then yes, the collection of ground mushrooms is canceled. But there are also oyster mushrooms, and you can collect them in the snow. And you - and honey mushrooms. And frozen mushrooms are quite edible, the main thing is to check after thawing whether they did not have time to rot before freezing.

Unfortunately, we don't have any mushrooms right now, so I checked carefully. The fact is that before the cold snap and precipitation, the soil managed to dry out, and in this scenario, mushrooms do not grow. But if the autumn is rainy, without interruptions in the drought, the mushrooms do not end until January. However, usually the snow covers them earlier, making it possible to search only for oyster mushrooms and flammulina.

In Moscow parks, there is light snow, which is either there or not. Winter honey agarics (Flammulina velutipes) are still quite common on willows in the Yauza floodplain. In principle, the mushroom is quite edible, if not in the city with its gas contamination. So, I don't collect it here.
