It may be a braconid from the subfamily Helconinae.

Slavinator, check your memory - you've already posted these ants.
Bumblebee - most likely Bombus terrestris, but not a fact.

More like Formica polyctena. With a much higher probability. I'm only talking about probability, not a precise definition. For an accurate determination, you need to look at the distant hairs on the body. And it is better to have a dozen individuals from one nest for comparison.

Yes, it seems that I put it up, and it looks like they didn't really answer anything, since I didn't rename it. Search by topic doesn't work, I tried to find it... And I also had a rider and someone hymenopteran in my post URL #8399, can you tell me at least in which direction to move in the search for their names?

03.05.2017 19:10, ИНО

You assume that with each new exhibition of them, a new specialist comes to the forum. Take a better picture next time, then they will respond more specifically. I don't know much about riders, except for a single species, but that's not it.

M. O., Lichens, from the cocoon of Cucullia lychnitis

It can only be identified approximately.
This is Netelia (Netelia) sp. (Tryphoninae)
The genus is large and rather muddy. b. m. are determined reliably by the pairs of males.
This species (Cucullia lychnitis) is noted as a host for Netelia testacea Gravenhorst, 1829-basically similar to these photos, although it is very variable.

It's not a hymenopteran. This is a lion fly

15.05.2017 20:21, ИНО

I also recently observed such a lion. In flight-the spitting image of melekta, I'm sure that no expert can tell the difference. When I sat down, I stared for a few seconds, unable to believe that it was a fly. Murmurers are resting. I would also like to know the name.
