And what does it remind me so much of exocentrus? confused.gif

It is 6 mm long. I'll take a better photo later (yesterday in a hurry, in joy, as I first got this beast).

Here is a larger animal (in the process of delivery).
Is there anything more specific to say about this?

exactly Exocentrus, I usually take them by the hairs, it is not visible in the photo, and punctipennis is not complicated...

Thank you guys! Exactly him: http://www.zin.ru/Animalia/Coleoptera/rus/exoluspo.htm beer.gif
As soon as it dries up, I'll probably place it in Lamiinae (it's not there yet).
I am really happy when I find something new for myself jump.gifhere

Alexey, it's okay! Mistakes happen to everyone (not a reason to get upset). I myself (again) It's the first time I've ever seen him. beer.gif

Your beetle is Exocentrus punctipennis, lusitanus does not have such clear large naked dots on the elytra, and in general it is different (I have both lying on mattresses from this year's collections). Congratulations, this is a really good bug! beer.gif For the Moscow region, by the way, as far as I know, it has not yet been marked. Lives only on the elm tree.

Hooray, Andrey dispelled doubts... I checked the list of Danilevsky for the Ministry of Defense, and I didn't find him there, so I spoke about him with doubt and leaned towards lusitanus, but if so, then I congratulate Vasily twice!

Yes, most likely it is (elms are present nearby), but linden trees are very few in the city (Lusitanus seems to be on a linden tree?). That means I put him on the M. O. sawyere list?
Oh my God jump.gif
Wow, I'll get drunk today and drink to you guys beer.gif beer.gif

Very interesting! Now I looked at my exocentrus, caught on 10. VII. 2006 in the north of Moscow - it also turned out to be punctipennis. So I would have stood like lusitanus, if not for your posts! Many thanks to vasiliy-feoktistov & Cerambyx!

Tell me with a mustache. It seems to me that this is Trichoferus campestris Fald, I have never seen this genus, so I may be wrong. It was found on blanks for pallets, most likely coniferous. In the vicinity of Krasnoyarsk.

Alexey, can you tell me its range? Is it an East Siberian species, or is it also common in central Siberia?

20.07.2010 19:11, Алексей Сажнев

Here is the distribution according to M. L. Danilevsky:

20.07.2010 19:28, Алексей Сажнев

But why, it goes all over Siberia, gravitating more to the center and south

Well, now I see. and in general, the beetle is often found? I understand it is related to deciduous plants

20.07.2010 19:32, Алексей Сажнев

I would say that the view is quite ordinary... it is associated with both deciduous and coniferous trees as far as I know.
