Are you sure this is Harpalus?"

Harpalini exactly. The width of the prdnsp is striking - a third more than the length. Indentations characteristic of harpalus are covered with dense small dots up to the lateral edges. The edges are evenly arched, with the widest point in the middle. The head is massive, with a small fossa just above the eye line. In general, the complex of the head and prdnsp seems disproportionately large compared to the elytra. The elytra are glabrous, the edges parallel, slightly arched, the ends smoothly rounded into an almost regular semicircle. The grooves are deep, and these six points are on the third gap. Maybe something else to watch?

For the genus Dytiscus, one of the most important defining features is the shape of the processes of the pelvises of the hind legs, which are not visible in your picture (here it is, the lack of universal transition to dies, even for such large beetles). I recommend either sticking them in a different way ("under the side", without covering the entire underside), or still pinning them-for such giants, this is quite acceptable.
I will only assume that this is a male and female Dytiscus circumcinctus.

Ideally, they should be viewed from both above and below. The first two are really similar to circumcinctus. But the second one is more on lapponicus.

Really peeled off and broken? frown.gif Or are they other instances?

22 - Cassida rubiginosa
29 - Hydrothassa marginella

22 -- No, it's Cassida sanguinosa leucanthemi. Moreover, I am inclined to the latter option, but not more than 60 by 40 in%. The" correct " Cassida rubiginosa looks like this: http://www.eakringbirds.com/eakringbirds2/...toisebeetle.htm . All the pictures in Google can not be trusted, as I managed to skim through-a lot of inaccurate opr.
Comrades who shoot the shield-bearer alive and not only, please turn the beetle over and take a picture of it also from below - the accuracy of the definition will be higher. In the same rubiginosa, the thighs are black, and in similar species - light.

29 -- Prasocuris marginella, according to modern nomenclature. I would not consider Hydrothassa even as a subgenus - there are no rank-related differences between Hydrothassa and Prasocuris (other than body shape). This is similar to the genus Mecinus (Ilya will understand).

2-Cryptocephalus mb decemmaculatus
3-Zeugophora subspinosa or scutellaris

6-yes, viridis and rubiginosa.

2-decemmaculatus for MO without options.
3-Zeugophora subspinosa, but not scutellaris-pay attention to the size, black shield, dotted lines of prsp. and so
on. 6-viridis and denticollis. So it would be more correct smile.gif.

Yes, it's Phaedon laevigatus umnik.gif. Just along the banks on the sand, I mostly find it. I've never picked any plants (I only mowed down two of them once by the river).

Good evening, can you help me deal with the Cassids? Krasnoyarsk Territory is everything.
1. Cassida subreticulata like. The claws are small and hidden. There are depressions at the scutellum and in the middle of the elytra. Krasnoyarsk, polyana kosheniye
[attachmentid ()=150987]
[attachmentid()=150988]
[attachmentid()=150989]
2. Similar but confused by the stronger punctuation of the elytra and less rounded body. The claws are also very small. Indentations on the elytra are not visible near Krasnoyarsk, also when mowing in a meadow
[attachmentid ()=150990]
[attachmentid()=150991]
3. similar to sanguinosa, confusing clear rows of dots. They are quite poorly visible on the shiny surface. The suture and base of the elytra are reddish. Upper lip with a short but deep notch.

Eugene, in the" Google search " accidentally came across your post (p. 330), it seems to be unanswered. If you need more, I define:

1 -- Cassida subreticulata.
2 -- Cassida azurea. This is my favorite shchitonoska (live beetles are very beautiful - http://www.pinterest.com/pin/351984527096529544/ I remember how in the Carpathians (height 500-700 m, Rakhovsky district) almost 7 years ago I first found it and went for three hours to collect it in the rain on smolki, until the joy of the discoverer faded smile.gifa little . On the plains - very rarely, on dry, sedimentary slopes with calcareous soils (in EC).
3 -- Cassida denticollis should be there, but there are signs that I'm a little worried about. In any case, only one of the trans-palearcts (Europe-Siberia) can be found.

thank you, yes, these leaf-eaters were left to me without definitions. But now there is nothing to compare it with, since all the material is being determined by specialists wink.gif.
Cassida azurea, yes, the beetle's upper body changes a lot when it dies. But in addition to these views, there was a little more interesting, so I'm looking forward to getting the material back.
By the way, Legalov sent a few beetles, including "our magdalisovs", he has beetles, but he has not yet taken them up.
