Please help me identify it. Chalcosoma like, but what I don't understand. The size is like an atlas, but there is no small horn between the large ones in front. The length of the upper horns is clearly less than that of the atlas, the shape of the central one is different-smooth. I don't know where the instance came from.

If the gap between the horns is convex or straight-C. atlas, C. caucasus
If on the contrary, "convex" - C. mollenkanpi

Yes, like a "bulge" is not observed... And the absence of the fourth small horn does not matter? confused.gif Atlas also has a thickened, jagged horn on his head, but this one is smooth... Anyway, thank you! When I get home, I'll take a good look at the bulge-bulge thing again.

Then I advise you to find another job like this (I saw it somewhere on the Web):
S. Endrődi. 1985. The Dynastinae of the world
Having a beetle on your hands and this work, you can determine it quite successfully

3. Ilybius sp.
4. Rhantus spp., two species, also I will not guess, it is better to use the keys
5. Hydaticus aruspex

I download it at a snail's pace of 19.2 kb / s at a rate of 50 MB / s: it's amazing. When I download it, I'll say.
P. S. Welllol.gif, I would have already removed a giga and a half giga from the Normal resource during this time. And here 62 megabytes....... No words.

Krasnoyarsk Territory.. Something similar from Colydiidae. His sawyere was still soaked in alcohol. just under 5 mm. There are two pits on the forehead near the eyes. The sides of the pronotum are edged, finely ribbed. In clear, thick dots, not dotted in the middle. On the back edge, closer to the side corners, there is a small pit. The punctuation of the elytra is clear, rather shallow, dots in rows, almost disappears to the top. The hairs are small, pinned down.

Krasnoyarsk Territory. similar to Hemicoelus rufipes. 9-no more than 2-8 whiskers, the latter are not elongated. The hump at the base of the pronotum is rather high, not divided by a longitudinal groove. But it is confusing that to the top of the elytra, the rows of dots are confused. In the Fauna of the USSR and the DV determinant, this species is not characterized by tangled rows, but in the "Green" one, the tangled rows are indicated (it goes as the genus Anobium).

It looks like him yes.gif. I got lost in families where I just couldn't find it anymore smile.gif. According to the package, the beetles are in Moscow, Sasha should pick them up soon. True, one Aulonothoscus forgot to send, it's a pity frown.gif. I'll be in Moscow myself on March 2, I think I'll take you there.

My rufipes have elytra ends with partially tangled rows (but these are definitely rufipes) collected on deciduous trees

I looked at my silvanuses, I wouldn't say that such pronounced denticles, I would say small swellings, but I don't see any obvious denticles. The battery on the camera died, I can only take a picture later.

Unfortunately, I can't take a picture of my only one either (like the promised Lymantor)

16.02.2014 14:41, akulich-sibiria

and here is the second, slightly smaller one. The protuberance on the peredenspink is not as pronounced as in rufipes, smoothed out. The rear corners are clear, sharp, protruding slightly back and sideways. The surface is different, less hairy, not in points, but as if in grains. The points of the elytra are clearly arranged in rows, which are also preserved at the top. The hairs are small and quite thick, sometimes like a felt pubescence. The vertex is cut off. The mustache also has large apical segments. The female.
Maybe it's just thomsoni?

No! Similar to Hadrobregmus confusus or Priobium carpini - not on hand to check...

Dmitry, do you often come across Ipidia binotata and Dendrophagus crenatus in your collections?

Not so often, but they do occur periodically. Dendrophagus crenatus is usually under the bark of pine trees either in late autumn or early spring. Ipidia binotata - single specimens. under the bark and on tinder boxes.
