On the roots-how? Dug horseradish or detritus type?

Yes, they dug up horseradish, beetles sat on the roots, in cracks and nibbles that were probably made by their larvae, and even by the beetles themselves

This is very interesting... maybe the rest of Aulacobaris should be found in this way...

yes, most baridins live like this, larvae in the root neck and roots, and beetles - in the soil, near the roots wink.gif
if you are interested-pick a salt marsh aster, horseradish slingshot, sweet-scented levkoi, Tatar katran, kohiya prostrata, under them the most fun zhivut

Good evening everyone, take a look at a couple of bronzes (even I got a little confused in them)

I agree, there are only about three options)) So I write marmorata

and what can you get confused with in the Vologda region? what is so incomprehensible written in "green" or on ZINA or in the topic "a little Potosia" here in the images (note that all sources are with pictures-you don't even need to read the text) ? probably, it only prevents laziness to figure out who is hu himself confused.gif

These photos can be used to identify bronzes? Saint-Petersburg. Or without an image of the mid-thorax process, you can't distinguish between gold, metal, and marble?

Rep. Adygea, Maikop district, Lagonaki plateau, "Guest house Oshten".

09-10. VII. 2015. Night, on light DRL125+UF26KLL. 32-35mm.
Polyphylla fullo or P. olivieri ?

It is more likely to be P. olivieri! In the Caucasus, this species replaces the classic fullo. Especially from these places. They even look a little different. I have from the coast P. olivieri.

This is Hoplocerambyx, but not spinicornis. The flattened areas above the clypeus and on the prsp are not pronounced, the medial furrow behind the eyes is weakly expressed, the pubescence, including the elithr, is weak, without stripes. There are 2 large bumps on the prpsp. Small size. See H. aramis.

Tell me the name of this nutcracker caught in the Mineral Waters of the Stavropol Territory on 8.08.1999. Please note that the city is a major hub, so it could have come from anywhere, which complicates the task. It looks like a kind of Elater. But the most interesting thing is the size of 25mm.
